Tools and Hardware Reviews of Rubbermaid FG7H4200ASTDA Collapsibles 3-Piece Food Storage Container SetCustomer Review: neat idea Summary: 2 Stars
I didn't have problems with lids not sealing or containers unexpectedly collapsing, but I guess I've been spoiled by the hard, non-staining BPA containers. I had these new containers discoloring in no time at all. I was soon resigned to buying glass containers instead and after a few months since this rubbermaid vs glass experiment, I'm glad I did.
Customer Review: A great idea on paper that fails the kitchen reality test Summary: 1 Stars
We bought all three sizes of collapsible Rubbermaid containers from Amazon. Right off the bat I noticed that the lids were not engineered to fit the containers without the application of undue force. Some would not seal at all.
Trying to store left over pasta was an exercise in futility as the container tends to collapse upon sealing even when it is filled with food.
My wife wants to through them out in the trash. I plan to call Rubbermaid on their toll-free line to register a complaint.
So much for trusting a brand name without doing enough research first!
Customer Review: No, thank you! Summary: 1 Stars
I got these clearanced, for a very low price. They look nice, and it's a great concept, but they're VERY hard to seal. They're also very hard to unfold, I have to use both hands and apply a lot of pressure - very uncomfortable! Also, they tend to collapse when you're applying pressure when trying to seal them - I had a big mess of soup and a big mess of yogurt when the semi-collapsed while I was trying to fit the lid on. I am wondering if these are the reasons why they're being clearanced in many stores...
