I bought the 3-6 ft deluxe configuration for my sons odd-shaped walk in closet. I was impressed by the quality of the components. The design was well thought out.
The only difficulty I had, had more to do with the odd layout of the closet; I had to order another 3-6 deluxe in order to get the additional hang rail (that the uprights attach to). This was not immediately obvious from the product descriptions of the various kits that Rubbermaid puts out. Also, there is no way to obtain individual pieces from Rubbermaid.
All in all however, the extra kit gave me the additional shelving I wanted, along with the upright extensions that I would have bought separately in order to give me unlimited flexibility in re-designing the closet as the need arises.
Overall, with the great Amazon price for the products, I was very, very happy. I would recommend figuring out just what you want to do and making sure you will have the parts you need, calling Rubbermaid if necessary, especially if you have an odd shaped closet, or walk in closet.

This is a very flexible system for maximizing your closet space. Take your time assembling it and it will be quite sturdy. I do have a few issues with it. First, the drywall anchors don't work very well; I never could get them to open up properly with the supplied tool. Second, the vertical supports are supposed to be placed 22 inches apart, making it impossible to anchor all of them into studs which have a 16-18 inch separation. Fortunately, they supply enough brackets and shelves so you can put the vertical supports at almost any interval and it will still set up fine. Lastly, if you install it at the height they specify, you will have a lot of trouble reaching the top shelf if you have 2 tiers of hangers. With the second unit I installed, I dropped the height by 7 inches and it is much more convenient that way.Customer Review: Rubbermaid Configurations

Love this closet system. I replaced 4 custom wood closets. One was a large walk through. The wood closets were very heavy and rested on the floor. I never felt like the air was circulating properly also didn't like trying to clean around the boards on the floor. This closet addresses both of those concerns. Also, I can change the shelves when ever the mood strikes. Don't like that the additional pieces are so expensive. Don't think a wire basket should be $50.00 and only come in 1 size. I ordered the custom deluxe for a closet and I know that I can use the extra shelving for this setup in the kitchen. I need many shelves, I need to see everything and I need to be able to adjust as needed. I don't think these shelves are heavy duty commercial racks but I don't plan on weighing down the shelves with heavy items. I do need separate levels for things so everything is visually in order.Customer Review: Easy Config, and install

I bought one set several months ago, my wife love it so I bought another set for another room couple weeks ago . it comes with every things you need or maybe more than you need (tools not included), easy to install and setup. Very flexible to config, on the packing box, it also show you the possible way to configure for different width and heigh closet.
