After searching high and low for affordable modular storage hardware for our new walk-in closet, I happened upon Configurations by Rubbermaid.
After recovering from laughing at the name 'Rubbermaid', which must have been established in more innocent times, I read with interest some great reviews and I checked out their website, which has some excellent videos (nothing to do with rubber or maids though).
I got the various modules I needed (three large closet packs, one medium pack, and sundry extras) for under $500, so it was quite a saving compared with MRRP.
I ordered what I thought would be way more than I would need, but in fact I used almost everything I bought.
Initially it was a little frustrating to put up the first section as some of the instructions were a little abstract.
However, after the first pieces went up, the speed of the job increased, and I had our entire walk-in closet ready to use after just a few hours.
I'm not the world's greatest handyman, but it was really straightforward, and quite a fun project for a Sunday.
Even our contractor was impressed with the job, and he wanted to know where to get the hardware from. Then he saw the word 'Rubbermaid' on the empty boxes and we spent half an hour laughing...
Recommended.
