Customer Review: It's Amazing The Capacity This Product Creates

I used this product to replace the long cheesy single wire rack that existed in my wife's walk-in closet. Even without the add-ons the 4-8 foot Deluxe Closet Kit creates two to three times more capacity than what the builder of our home provided. Add in a couple of the extensions and a few of the sliding baskets and you have a product that would cost multiple times more if installed by a custom closet company.
Installation was a breeze once you get the hang of things and changing configurations was very, very easy. Amazon's price is great and free shipping for this large and heavy product makes the Rubbermaid Configurations 4 to 8 foot Closet Kit a complete bargain.
I've also purchased two 3 to 6 foot kits and have had no issues with the build quality or installation.

This is my first experience with a custom closet set and I absolutely love it! This set is well-made and installed relatively easily. My hubby hung the back supports to assure they were solidly mounted in studs and I arranged the shelves and hangers. The included instructions were clear, everything fit together well, and locked in securely. The 8-foot set fit very nicely into the space we had and is easily modified to accommodate your personal needs. It's also nice to know that you can purchase additional pieces if you need them, but there was a nice, more than adequate, assortment of parts with this set. I had a number of pieces remaining after assembling my closet the way I wanted.
Amazon's price was excellent and they offered free shipping for this gold-box deal. I highly recommend it.

The first organizer I installed was the Closet Maid. The second was this Rubbermaid. Buy this Rubbermaid (or similar model).
It was easier to install. Lighter but just as sturdy. The Closet Maid was horrible to install. It stated to keep the hanging beams 23 inches apart, so I did. But when I went to install the Closet Maid brand drawer, the drawer instruction said the hanging beams needed to be 24 or 25 inches apart. (Not sure on the exact numbers but you'll get the drift). This is moronic. No problem with the Rubbermaid.
Also the Rubbermaid to support beam can be overlapped, not so with the Closet Maid. The Closet Maid was metal and had to be hacksawed. Nightmare and more needless work.
I have no problems recommending this product. It is fantastic.

The setup of this system went fairly smoothly. I used the provided anchors in my drywall where studs were not hit (which was most of the time) and they seem to hold very well. They are a little stiff and tough to push in but you'll just need a little more pushing, nothing that can't be overcome. My only complaint is that I can't find any more pieces like this anywhere is local stores. They apparently do not sell extra parts (except for the extension bars) in stores, only the kits. So make sure you get enough from your kit to begin with. Even though this is a large kit I wanted to go around a corner, which didn't lend itself well to the one kit so I spent the better part of a Saturday afternoon and evening going to different places to find another kit (again, because parts are unavailable).Customer Review: Ahhhhh, organized at last

I finally have a walk-in closet I can walk in! I love that you can configure and reconfigure the shelving and rods to solve pretty much any storage problems you may have. This kit really maximizes your closet space. My closet is on the small side (5'x5') but has very high ceilings so I was able to put two rows of shelving up high on two of the closet walls and use the upper row for seasonal items that I don't need to get to very often (I store a stepstool in the closet for those rare occasions when I do need to get up there... why not?? I have plenty of room in there for one now). I also put several half-rows of shelving down low (below my hanging clothes) and put my shoes on those.
It was fairly easy to install and is very sturdy and secure. It also looks great.
