I am very pleased with the quality of this product. I purchased two of the Rubbermaid deluxe system (titanium)4-8 ft after reading the reviews. I did venture into the Container Store but the price of their ELFA systems made me venture out of the store! Amazon also offered the BEST price-Lowes had the same kit for $186 (I paid $119 per kit with free shipping).
I rehabbed an older house and I love the character but my only complaint is the small closets. I decided to turn a small unused room into my closet. The wall was 10 feet and I used the 2 systems to take up all 10 feet of the wall.
A family friend that is very handy came with all the necessary tools. Drill,hammer,stud finder,leveler etc. No cutting was required. I did have to go and purchase more anchors. He did not feel there were enough with the kits. He wanted my unit to be extra sturdy. It took approx. 3 hours to put up both systems. It is sturdy it looks great and all my clothes are neatly stored in one area.
I have lived with the closet system for over a week and I may go back and purchase the trouser attachment(it holds 12 pairs a pants and slides in & out). I would wait before purchasing all the Rubbermaid extras (baskets,belt organizer,trouser holder etc). Put it up and place all your clothes on it first, then see what you need from there. You may discover you don't need the expensive extras. If you do, you can always go back and order more.

My friend and I put this together in my closet today. Oh my gosh what a difference it made! It was incredibly easy to assemble, and it looks beautiful. Best of all, the organization that it gave me allowed me to fit a lot more stuff in my closet, and things are now easier to find and less likely to get wrinkled or damaged! My closet used to have the standard white wire rod and single shelf that the builder installed - utter crap. This is like having a California Closet compared to that, but at a much more reasonable price! The deals Amazon offers on these kits are not to be missed and a great value. And if you have Prime and can get the two-day shipping for free, it's an outstanding deal! Just be cautioned that the box was very heavy.
It's definitely easier to install with two people. Some tools (drill, hammer, level) are required. And the first track goes on the wall pretty high up (86.5"), so you'll need a closet with a high enough ceiling and a stepstool. Watching the instructional video in the product description page was helpful as well.
I love these Configurations kits and will be buying more of them, to do the other side of my walk-in closet as well as my husband's. The brushed steel color is especially elegant, and the accessories that are available are really nice too. Big thumbs up!

We are very impressed and happy with our purchase of this product. My husband had all of his clothes in a closet about 7 feet long - things were so tight that he didn't even know what he had in there anymore. I went in and ripped out the old clothes bar and shelf and then installed this new system in about 4 or 5 hours. Everything is now separated and organized so finding things is so easy. The top shelf is wire so you can look through it to see what is on it without having to climb. There are many different configurations you can use to hang the rods and shelves, so there is bound to be one that works well. Only two things to keep in mind - Read the instructions carefully and measure twice before you drill. If I can do it, anyone can.
We have ordered two more and I am going to organize the closet where my clothes are. I am excited that I might soon be able to actually walk into my walk-in closet!
One other thing, three of the brackets had the plastic clips broken right out of the package. I sent an email to Rubbermaid on Monday morning, they responded within two hours and are sending replacements out right away. That service is exceptional these days and is part of what helped me decide to buy again.

I used the 4-8ft. Deluxe Titanium kit in my Laundry Room. I did it by myself to surprise my husband while he was away. He likes organization, and the laundry had fast become a dumping ground for everything from grill accessories to pantry
items. His response when he walked in the room was," WOW! This is the best thing you've done to the house so far!" It looks great and feels so good to walk in there now. I used two rods for hanging clothes. One shorter rod hung high for long pants and dresses, and a long one for shorter clothes. The shelves are great for storing small appliances not used very often, grill items, and items that had previously been crammed into kitchen cabinets. I also use the shelves to store
pantry items, paper supplies, and sports drinks. I hung one shelf near the floor for shoes. It did take me quite awhile to hang, but I am super slow at everything do! I used all the screws and toggles that came with it. A stud finder and level are a must. I took one reviewers advice and hung it lower from the ceiling than instructed so that I had plenty of room to store things on the top shelf.
I absolutely recommend this and will be buying additional sets to organize our tiny closets.

After careful research, I ordered 3 sets to outfit 5 reach-in closets (one 8' and four 4'). I have previously installed ClosetMaid and systems from the now defunct Organized Living (probably similar to Elfa). The quality of shelving and finish is superior to ClosetMaid. 12" depth is the only option with this system, which is fine for my reach-in applications (for a larger walk-in, I would prefer a system with deeper shelf offerings). Hanging hooks and rods are metal, end caps are plastic but look ok.
I found installation to be comparable to other hanging wire systems. The provided fasteners and anchors worked fine for me, but I would not fault the product if a specific application required the use of different ones - I have become accustomed to providing my own fasteners for various boxed products if the situation calls for it.
Two of the closets are for growing toddlers, and I'm already experimenting with various shelving configurations - moving shelves around is fast and kind of fun! One of the closets has an attic access, and I was able to design the shelves to allow access upon removal of two small shelves and leaving the rest of the closet undisturbed!
Highly recommended.
