Canvas material is what this Storage chest is made out of and the cedar inserts are not worth mentioning in the description. I will just add to the comments that these hold a lot of stuff. I do wish it had one of the hard bottoms so that it would be a stackable item...however the fact that it holds so much makes it a good purchase for the price to me.Customer Review: Nice storage chest, smaller than expected
