I don't write reviews often. Usually I take the time only if a product is noteworthy which could go either way from horrible to outstanding. This over-the-door shoe bag is great. It can be hung over the door with 4 small, but very substantial hooks that are provided, or hung in a closet with a single hook, also included (How neat is that?), that folds the bag in half and fits neatly in a limited space. The product is extremely well made and looks as though it will be easy to clean. Each pocket is large enough for a pair of ladies shoes. I'm not sure about men's, but athletic shoes might fit in a single compartment as a pair. The pocket shoe organizer by Rubbermaid is a definite plus as most of the shoe bags that that I have seen, are so small that only one shoe will fit in each compartment. This has saved me so much space, that I am going to order another one and free up another half a closet of shoe boxes not needed. If you are cramped for space as I am, I don't think you can go wrong!Customer Review: ORGANIZED AT LAST

This shoe organizer is perfect. I ordered one and immediately ordered a second. If I knew it was this easy to organize my shoes I would have done it much sooner. The rack did not work over my door but was perfect over the rod in my closet. My shoes are a women's size 6.5 and each pocket holds a pair. With my shoes paired in individual pockets it is very easy to grab exactly what I want. Before I was digging through the bottom of my closet trying to find the match to the heels I wanted to wear to work that day. Now they are both where they belong. It is so easy to find them and put them back at night. Not only does it make life easier to find my shoes, but they stay nice and clean and free from marks An extra bonus is that I can now walk into my small walk in closet. My dad had been trying to store his shoes in a shoe pocket hanger he bought at a local home improvement store. His size 12 shoes torqued out of the pockets no matter how they were put in. Despite the thick nylon and sturdy construction, his old shoe organizer was tearing and dropping shoes onto the closet floor. I had actually bought this Rubbermaid shoe organizer to hold scarves, hats & gloves, because the pockets looked deep enough to hold our big scarves. When it arrived, and I saw the size of the pockets -- height and depth -- I tried Dad's shoes in it. They FIT! No torquing, no tearing, just nice, flat, secure storage. I'm buying two more, and I'm even writing a review, which I've never done before. It's really silly how happy this made me!Customer Review: size matters

This shoe organizer is great! exactly like what other ppl say, the pockets are big, granted I wear size 5, but I can easily fit a pair of shoes into one pocket, which significantly increases its storing capacity. One other thing that's really excellent is that the hooks are "wide" enough to fit over a thicker door. I bought the "Whitmor Over-The-Door Shoe Rack, White, 36-Pair" as well but that only fits over skinner doors. I'm not using it as a in closet storage, but the velcro does come in smart and handy to fold the organizer in half. I had a plastic clear shoe organizer right before this, and the advantage of this one not being clear is that it hides the clutter much better.Customer Review: Perfect!

I have a vast and varied shoe collection. This organizer finally got them off the floor of the closet where they used to sit in a huge cluttered mess.The 20 pockets are very sturdy and roomy. I managed to fit more than one pair of women's size 8.5s in most of the pockets. In fact, I fit 32 pairs of shoes in it! I opted to hang it over the door of my closet and the door still closes comfortably. The only problem is that it didn't fit all my shoes but that's really my problem...lol. I will most likely end up getting another one..
