Just received this box and am going to use it on the back of my mid-size pickup (2008 Chevy Colorado) for additional storage. This container is really perfect for this chore! It can be easily bungee corded in or by any other method you wish to use and it provides a great weather tight area on the outside of your cab to place generous size items that you do not wish to be inside your cab area. Plus, it can be taken out of the bed of your truck in seconds to utilize all that space that you have back there when large moving projects come around! Mine will be bungeed to the frond of the box facing the rear.
The sizes stated in Amazons ad can be confusing. The actual outside measurement sizes are: 38.8 inches wide, 19.8 inches deep (front to back) and 17.7 inches high. A perfect size for my 'mid-size pick-up'. Hope this info helps you to make your decision, much easier.

I have used this items for years: scout trips, camping trips, storage, moving, you name it. I have yet to have one break or have one tear. I have one in particular that is mighty faded from use and being out in the weather, but - since its all plastic and made simply - it just keeps working. Having mentioned its virtures, the only downside is the cost. I recall getting these much cheaper back "in the day". The box is just that. A kind of shelter to all my delicate electronic devices.
I use it indoor, but I have no doubt it can be outdoor too.
I recently found it, in a garage sale. For about $ 20, it was a deal.
Features: big interior space, made with hard material, and serve as an extra chair.
I strongly recommend Rubbermaid, and specially these boxes.

We've used a couple smaller ActionPackers for camping. Got this one for a "camp kitchen." Should have room for all the gear plus dry goods, etc. These things are great--can be used as a seat or table. My husband had previously broken another toolbox my Son had installed on our 18 ft trailer. This one is a bit bigger and works perfectly to carry all the necessary tie downs and straps he needs for his hauling. Great Value and looks good too.
